The FBI and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department executed search warrants on January 31, 2026, at two residences in northeast Las Vegas on Sugar Springs Drive.
The properties belong to Jia Bei Zhu, a 62-year-old Chinese citizen also known as Jesse Zhu, Qiang He, and David He. Zhu, identified as a Chinese Communist Party member, was already in federal custody since his October 2023 arrest for running an illegal biolab in Reedley, California.
Investigators in Las Vegas found refrigerators, freezers, centrifuges, a biosafety hood, and red drums of unknown liquids locked away in garages. Containers were labeled with names like HIV, anthrax, malaria, tuberculosis, COVID-19, Ebola, dengue fever, and hepatitis. Sheriff Kevin McMahill said officers found a huge amount of material just like what was in the Reedley lab.
More than 1,000 samples went straight to FBI labs, and hazmat teams hauled everything out.
Police arrested Ori Solomon, 55, at one of the homes for illegal gun possession and dumping hazardous waste. Solomon got seriously sick after going into the garage, just like the property manager’s employees who checked it before. Zhu’s partner, Zhaoyan Wang, is also on the property records.
Back in July 2023, Zhu’s California operation was caught making and selling fake medical devices—COVID-19, pregnancy, and HIV tests—with no FDA approval. The Reedley warehouse was packed with thousands of mystery vials, over 1,000 test mice (some bred for disease), and proof of links to Chinese banks. A congressional report in November 2025 called it a major biosecurity risk and pointed straight to Zhu’s CCP ties and Chinese funding.
This Las Vegas bust is just the tip of the iceberg. Zhu owns at least 24 properties across America, and the FBI hit his Reedley site again in February 2026. Authorities know these labs are a threat to public health and national security, with viruses that could be turned into weapons. Zhu goes on trial in April 2026 and is still locked up as a flight risk.
China's hand in this is unmistakable. The CCP has a history of biological espionage, from COVID origins to stealing U.S. research. Allowing operatives like Zhu to stockpile deadly viruses in American garages is an invasion we cannot tolerate.
This is why strong borders and aggressive counterintelligence matter. America First means rooting out these threats before they unleash hell on our people. Leaders like Trump understand that; the left pretends it is not happening. We demand full exposure and swift deportation for anyone tied to foreign regimes plotting against us.
